It is estimated that more than 25 million Americans own a small business and many millions more dream of running their own. There is no shortage of ideas for starting a business, but the one over riding consideration you must have is…who is your customer? What problem will you solve for them and why is your business any different than the one across the street?

So before starting a new business on only an idea, you should first research thoroughly to try and determine the size of the customer base that you can sell to. It is Ok if you don’t have a new idea, many businesses do extremely well by improving on existing ideas or providing better customer service than their competition.

We have categorized these potential Minipreneur businesses into these two broad group based on a couple of criteria. For the purpose of categorization, we’ve defined “Small Businesses” as those that need a physical facility and/or one or two employees.
